Website Privacy Notice
This notice explains how OAK TEK - FZCO ("we", "us") handles information when you visit oaktek.org. We are the controller of that information. It does not cover our apps. LootPick and Open Chord each have their own privacy policy.

No accounts
The site has no accounts, no sign-in and no payments. We do not sell your information.
Server logs
Our host, Netlify, receives your IP address, the pages you request, the time, and details of your browser and device when you load the site. Netlify keeps these logs for its own standard period and uses them to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It loads only if you press Accept in the cookie notice. Until then no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. If you press Reject, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a rejection.
When you accept, Google sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) and receives your approximate location, device and page information. We ask Google to shorten IP addresses. Google decides for itself how it uses data under its own policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, which also removes the analytics cookies we can reach.

Contact form
If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you type. We use them only to reply to you. The form is processed by Netlify Forms, which stores the submission and passes it to our email inbox. Nothing else is collected through the form, and we use a hidden field, not a tracking service, to filter spam.
If sending fails, the page opens your own email app with the message filled in. In that case the message travels through your email provider, not through our form.
We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and reasonable follow-up, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or taking steps you ask for.
Fonts
Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when a page loads.
Links to other sites
The site links to app stores, social networks and our other websites. We do not control them and they have their own privacy practices.
Where information goes
We operate from the United Arab Emirates. Netlify and Google process data in the United States and other countries. By using the site you understand that information about you may be processed outside your country.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the United Arab Emirates, these rights come from Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, and you may complain to the UAE Data Office. Email us to use any of them. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We do not run our own servers or databases for it. No system is completely secure. To report a security problem, see our security contact.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the Effective Date and add an entry below.
